Founded by Pat Magnarella, a highly respected music manager, and Roger Klein, a former major record label Artists & Repertoire representative, PMM Art Projects is conceived of as a “disruptive art business model” in which Magnarella and Klein strived to be neither “agents” nor gallerists but instead work to insure that their artists are protected, nurtured, and recognized – both within and beyond – the art world. “You are helping an artist realize their vision,” Magnarella said in an interview with Art Design Cafe. “That could be music. That could be art. That could be whatever.”

PMM Art Projects has presented acclaimed exhibitions in Los Angeles, New York, and London, and works with a number of internationally-known artists including urban contemporary artist D*Face, British artists Dan Baldwin and Miss Bugs, light artist/photographer Chris Levine, and English fine artist Charming Baker, whose 2012 ‘pop-up’ gallery show in London generated over $4 million in sales on opening night.

“We’re there to nurture them and make them feel safe. That’s a new kind of concept for an artist because they’re used to doing everything on their own,” Klein told BBC News. Magnarella was quoted in The Telegraph saying, “We aren’t interested in just having the art world knowing about our artists…we want the whole world to know about them.”

Magnarella and Klein have been interviewed by the BBC, Sky News, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph, The Evening Standard, GQ Magazine, Elle, W, and more.
